After showing you how to make a cat house with a t-shirt, we thought we should bring you another fun and easy project for cat lovers. So today we are going to show you how to make a cat cardboard scratcher.
- The top of an A3 paper cardboard box
- Cutting knife
Reserve the top of the A3 paper cardboard box – it will be used as a base (image1). Lay down the card board onto a cutting table (put something under it to avoid damaging the table). Cut stripes of cardboard – measure the cardboard box where you are going to place the stripes (image 2). Once your lines are plotted, use your rule and blade to cut out the pieces.
After that, I just ran a line of glue along the centre of the length of each strip, stacked them all together inside the cardboard box (image 3), and applied pressure for a couple of minutes so they are all packed tightly together (image 4). And it’s done!
You have the perfect scratching surface for a demanding kitty, like Mister!
