Today we are featuring a DIY cat shelving project from our friends at GoroGoro & Nikoniko.
If you have cats in your life you probably love to wow them. So, what better way to surprise your cats than building them some cat wall shelves? This will be a spot for the cats to climb, sleep and let the cats show each other who’s the boss.
That’s what the Mom and Dad of Goro and Niko decided to do.
What you’ll need:
- Shelves: You can get 18 inch and 24 inch shelves at Home Depot, for instance.
- Wall anchors: You need to get enough wall anchors to hold your cat’s weight.
- Tools: Screwdriver and level.
- Carpet to cover shelves: Fabric such as carpet should be placed on top of all the shelves. It’s to make a non-slip surface.
The outcome is a series of comfortable shelves for the kitties to climb up.
There’s a cat tower and also a cat ladder that give access to the shelves.
And check out this detail – there’s curve bed shelf that’s installed rather low on the wall so that Dad can pet the kitties 🙂

I love these shelves and that ladder is an awesome idea! We also have wall ‘highways’ that span the periphery of our living room and kitchen area. The cats love it.
Those are great, they are living in kitty paradise.

Thank you so much for featuring us! One of the things I like about cat shelves is that they don’t take floor space. In small home like ours, they are very efficient. Also, especially Niko, he is very shy but high shelves seem to help him feel more confident 🙂
